Abu Bakarr Kabia Faces Death Threat

Police Officers in Sierra Leone have declared Abu Bakarr Kabia wanted over the death of his girlfriend Jeneba Sitta.

Police sources told this medium that investigation uncovered that Kabia was in a love relationship with Jeneba Sitta who died while carrying three months pregnancy. This happened at a time when Kabia had gone into love relationship with Sitta in Freetown. It was understood that this happened without the knowledge of Sitta's parent whose family background is link and well known for Islamic doctrines.

In Islam, boyfriend and girlfriend relationship is not tolerated hence the reason why parent of Jeneba Sitta decided to take the laws into their hands. This matter became one of the topical issue in 2017 when information leaked to the parent of Jeneba Sitta's family about her death in Freetown. Jeneba's father in revenge hired thugs to beat up Abu Bakarr and if possible set fire on him alive.

According to an eye witness Mr. Koroma confirmed to this press that the night some unidentified gangs stormed Kabia's residence with sticks, machetes and other offensive weapons, he had to escaped through the window and later seek refuge at his friend place which is about three hundred yards from his residence. He had to spend the night there whilst his house was vandalized, looted with many items carted away. When information leaked that Abu Bakarr had gone to take refuge at his friend place, the unidentified gangs on the following day stormed the place and this time they manhandled Abu Bakarr's friend who by then was alone in the house whilst Abu Bakarr had left.

The gentleman was mercilessly beaten to death and his house ransacked. Abu Bakarr therefore went into hiding fearing that his life was in danger. Police who were investigating a case of harbouring later put out a public notice declaring Abu Bakarr a wanted man. His photos was widely placed on different areas within the city whilst Jeneba's father was also on the haunt for the same man. Bakarr whereabouts remained unknown as some of his family members were of the belief that he has been killed.

Abu Bakarr Kabia sufferer the worse form of human rights violations which led to the intervention of human rights organizations in and out of the country calling for his safety. Some members of his family are worried that their son and brother was no more as his whereabouts remained unknown.
