A faith-based TV broadcaster called Mercy TV has been set up in Sierra Leone, to evict Satan and his demons, and to deliver, train and equip disciples for the furtherance of the gospel.
Broadcasting from 6 Warmsley Lane, Oneil Street, central Freetown, on channel 39 as part of Faith Healing Bible Church-SL, Mercy TV is the second Christian TV Station to operate in the tiny West African state of Serra Leone, with a population of about seven million-after KTV.
Pastor Francis A.M Mambu, the general overseer of Faith Healing Bible Church-worldwide said: “I received a phone call from Reverend Julian Khan in the UK, whom I never knew; introduced himself and told me that he was praying with his wife when the spirit of God ministered to them that he should establish a TV Station for me in Sierra Leone, to preach the undiluted word of God, furthering that he needed to travel from the UK to see me-which he did, and eventually stayed for couple of months, working on the project. He glorified God for Reverend Khan’s vision, and vowed for a smooth partnership in the Lord”.
Reverend Khan is the founder of Mercy Ministries-UK. He disclosed that the idea behind the establishment of Mercy TV in Sierra Leone is to evict Satan and his demons; to saturate the atmosphere with holy worship through Jesus Christ, describing the TV Station as a game-changer and one of God's instruments meant to deliver, train and equip disciples for the furtherance of the gospel; to morally equip believers to be holy; to raise prayer and praise alters to God-for his glory, and to transform lives and win souls with the undiluted word of God.
He said the vision of Mercy TV started as a special assignment from the Lord, way back in 2003, adding: “Some years ago, I traveled with an English man, who had a revelation about God's plan for Sierra Leone, but thwarted by blatant judicial corruption and injustice which led to the looting of the donated TV equipment as a result of an unjust eviction order of a demonic magistrate and judge-aided by a lawyer, without due process of the law. Thank God that my wife and I have endured to see our vision come true, especially the divine connection with God’s faithful Servant-Pastor Francis A.M Mambu, whose timely intervention, prayer, help and encouragement kept us focus on reacquiring the necessary gadgets needed for broadcasting, in spite of the challenges. I extend gratitude to Dora Dumbuya, for her relentless prayer-being a mother. We are grateful to be a part of God’s divine connection designed to bring glory and honour to His name”.
Pastor Alfred Missallie, the Director of Media Services, Faith Healing Bible Church-SL believes there is going to be multidimensional spiritual and physical life-changing impact in Sierra Leone, with the combination of Mercy TV and Redeemer Radio Network (RRN) 92.5FM which has been a channel for spiritual healing and soulwinning over the years-with unending testimonies. Outburst sale of television sets is largely expected across the tiny West African state, as time goes on.
