Peter Bayuku Konteh a former Minister of Tourism and Culture under Ex-President Koroma’s led Government who was sacked for alleged corruption and later resigned from APC and joined National Grand Coalition (NGC) ahead of the 2018 elections, has tender his resignation letter from the NGC.

During the last election, Peter Bayuku supported SLPP secure enough votes in the run-off polls which saw the ruling party returning to governance.

As a result of his support to the SLPP party, President Bio appointed him as Minister of Trade and Industry for what many believed was a compensation for his support to the party.

Though he is yet to announce his next move, many political pundits are of the view that his resignation is part of SLPP strategic plan to take over the seat of the deceased MP Momodu Eskimo Mansaray of Constituency 043 in Koinadugu District once NEC declares it vacant.
