“We will stay glued to Africell until Kingdom Come…”

Two months sustained random interviews conducted by this medium targeting Africell subscribers in Freetown, Bo, Kenema, Makeni and Kono sharply brought to the fore how the respondents expressed dogged determination to continue to stick to the GSM Company just for the simple reason that the Company is reliable coupled with their affection for the various impressive services it had been and currently offering.
Majority of those interviewed in the aforementioned places frankly intimated that Africell has a dependable network underscoring the fact that they are really getting in return value for money. “It is rare for one not to optimize monies spent on top-ups to make voice calls and besides the network is for the better part most times clear,” Hassan Jakka in Kenema proudly stated.
What again came out clearly was that whenever they purchase bundles to make use of internet facilities such will serve them to the maximum. The subscribers further pointed out that Africell always ensures it catches up with the latest technology in telecommunications. They showered praises on the Company for taking the lead in introducing the 4G LTE network that has indeed improve internet connectivity in the country.
Some Bank workers in Makeni maintained that since the 4G LTE became operational in the country they switched over to it adding how they successfully swapped their 3G sims for the 4G LTE ensuring that they secured 4G compliant phones. They furthered how they are grateful to Africell for offering them free 4G sims loaded with free 1 GB data. “We appreciate Africell current offer of 4G Mifi loaded with 5GB data at a promotional cost of Le250,000 and the service is really good and superb,” these workers expressed satisfaction.
A Freetown based subscriber, Abass Tarawallie, told this medium that he is highly hopeful in life for the fact that he is part of the Africell Mobile Life Insurance Policy. “I have been willing to part with Le50,000 per year for quite a considerable period of time and will continue to do so out of the belief that one day I will be able to claim millions of Leones,” he expressed optimism adding Africell is truly poised to reduce poverty in the country.
“I was residing at Mortomeh before the twin disaster of mudslide and flooding struck but thank God some of us were spared although up to this moment we are saddened for losing our loved ones and friends,” a mother of six children lamented going further to state that when they were camped at Old School, Africell was always there to give them succour by providing them with food and other basic things. She prayed that the company will continue to grow from strength to strength. Others who were also victims of the calamitous tragedy confessed that Africell really showed them love and care, praising staffs of the company whom they say gave them courage and warmth.
Some commended the company for its stance in always being ready to complement the efforts of Government with regards giving face lift to important places in the country making mention of the historic Cotton Tree in the heart of the country’s capital.
One long time subscriber said with all amount of certainty that it came as no surprise that Africell willingly acted as one of the sponsors of the just concluded Miss Sierra Leone Pageant which saw Miss Bonthe, Sarah Laura Tucker, emerging as Miss Sierra Leone. He highlighted that it was not the first time Africell has contributed in providing support to the entertainment industry anchoring his assertion on the premise that the company has promoted artists and sports in the country with the avowed aim of taking those fields and individuals to the highest pedestal.
When the respondents were asked whether Africell is their preferred network or whether they will at any time switch to another one, they jubilantly responded in chorus, “Africell na wi network” saying determinedly that they are with Africell until Thy Kingdom Come.
