The world’s third largest mobile company and Sierra Leone’s leading Telecommunication Company, Airtel, has proudly launched their biggest Bomba Millionaire raffle draw worth 1.2 billion Leones that will last for sixty (60) days.
The raffle draw will start on Friday 3rd July 2015 and 20 Airtel subscribers will win a million Leones daily and a grand draw will also be made of 10 million Leones every Friday.
Managing Director Airtel, Sudipto Chowdhury explained that the millionaire Bomba draw is aimed at rebuilding the lives of Sierra Leoneans after a devastating experience with the deadly ebola virus.
According to the MD, Airtel millionaire Bomba draw does not require subscribers to do anything special, but continue with their normal subscriptions or buy their normal airtime, which will immediately qualify them for the draw.
He further explained that starting from Friday 3rd July Airtel will start the raffle draw between 9am-10am every day, for twenty subscribers nationwide to win one million Leones and the grand draw every Friday to win ten million Leones.
He said the draw will be broadcast from the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), Star TV and AYV Television and major radio stations in the country.
During the launching ceremony at Airtel Head-Quarters, Hill Station, the MD Sudipto Chowdhury outlined his company’s contribution to the country’s fight against Ebola stating that Airtel has been with the people since the beginning and will be to the end, with financial and technical assistance to the government and people. He also stated that the Bomba Millionaire promotion is another way to support and reach out to Sierra Leoneans by enabling them win millions of Leones.
He believes that with a million Leones a common Sierra Leonean can achieve lots of things and will also help to improve on their standard of living.
“Airtel is here to shine the light on Sierra Leoneans and we are here to help rebuild the country after the ebola wahala, as the country is on the recovery phase. We tend to give back to the people and our subscribers to help empower them and motivate them financially. This is the biggest promotion ever in the history of telecommunication in the country and we intend to do more as we continue to strive in the country” Chowdhury explained.
