Sierra Leone & Apollon Smirnis midfielder, John K Kamara has told mysierraleoneonline.com that winning Saturday`s match against the `Nzalang Nacional` of Equatorial Guinea will bring restored pride back in the national team.
John said: “We can sense the frustration from the fans after our two previous matches against Tunisia away from home which shattered our hopes of reaching the final stage of the qualifiers,” he noted.
“We`ve a young squad and I believe with the support from the fans will surely fulfill their dream of reaching the African cup of Nations come 2015,”.
“The match on Saturday is important even though winning would take us nowhere but it will bring pride to the national team”.
He said: “It`s a must win match even though our chances of qualifying for 2014 world cup has been dashed but it will also improve our FIFA ranking in future,” he fumed.
“The `Nzalang Nacional` have a formidable team with quality players but I`m confident of deflating them in Saturday`s showdown. “We must be eleven warriors on the field, adding that they will do everything to ensure victory as the defense is ready to provide an excellent display”.
He however called on supporters to storm the stadium in thousand to cheer the team up.
