Sierra Leone midfielder Alfred Sankoh was again the hero as Sanliurfaspor beat Kahramanmarasspor 1-0 at home on Sunday.
Alfred Sankoh scored his second goal of the season when he tucked in a low cross at the near post in the 40th minute to seal the all important victory for his side.

The player said he was extremely delighted to have his name on the score sheet for second time this season.

“As a player, you want to win every home game but overall I am quite happy, my goal was a special one. I want to keep scoring and hopefully promote my side to the Turkish Super League next season,” he said.

Zagalo has been left out of Coach McKinstry 20 -man squad ahead of the match between Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea this weekend in Freetown.

Despite the disappointment, he said he wants to continue playing for his beloved country, and to be part of the squad that will one day qualify Leone Stars to any major competition.

Expressed his frustration, Zagalo recalled how he was ignored in Leone Stars 1-2 defeat in the hands of the Cape Verdeans in the ongoing World cup qualifiers. “I didn`t know why I was left out. I think we can only succeed when we forget about favoritism and sentiment,” he charged further.

Sanliurfaspor are currently third in the Turkish second tier behind leaders, Semsunspor and Malikesispor who are all on six points.

In Sweden, Mohamed `Pobosky` Bangura came from the bench to give Elfsborg an important away win as they beat Djurgarden 2-1.

M. Beckman puts the home side ahead before E. Bergstrom leveled terms after the recess. Mohamed Bangura struck it late in the 90th minute after he had replaced M. Rohden nine minutes to stoppage time.

Bangura`s goal was his 6th of the season. Elfsborg are in 6th with 34 points trailing league leaders, Malmo FF by 11 points. Bangura is among the 20- man squad for the weekend shown against Equatorial Guinea in Freetown.

Kei Kamara has arrived in England on transfer deadline day ahead of a possible move. It is understood that Crystal Palace and Middleborough are keen on taking a man who took in a loan spell at Norwich last season.
