The Single Leg Amputee Sports Association (SLASC) needs a total sum of $52,200 USD to participate in the fourth Africa Cup of Nations in Nairobi, Kenya for 22 man delegation that includes 15 players and 7 officials slated for 22-30th of November this year.

The competition is organized by the Amputee Football Federation of Africa (AFFA) and the Amputee Federation of Kenya.
According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Albert Mustapha, he said this is the fourth Africa Cup of Nations they will participate in if they can participate as it will be a great moral booster for the Amputee team and to put the country on the map.

He stated that 12 countries are expected to participate that might include host Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Angola, South Africa and host of other countries.

He averred that they want to use this competition to test the team’s growing skills against amputee teams in Africa. This competition will also help them to gain significant international media coverage for disability issues in Sierra Leone.
Mustapha is appealing to sponsors to come on board in assisting them, and any sponsor that will offer $10,000 or more will be in all of their media materials.

He opined that sponsors offering them $35,000 or more will have their names printed on the tour t-shirts which will be worn by the players not only on their way to and during the tour but for years to come.

And for Sponsors offering them $45,000 or more will have their logo printed on the team’s football shirts.
