Sierra Leonean-born squash player, Issa Kamara, has defeated Greek champion PetrosTzamkoulosas3-2 in the final of the international squash tournament hosted in Ankara, Turkey.
The Sierra Leonean defeated the Turkish title holder, Huseyin Gumus, 3-1 in the semi-final before progressing to the final where he defeated Tzamkoulosas3-2.
According to Kamara, he was proud to raise the country's flag high with a remarkable result and by winning a lot of tournaments abroad. He voiced his willingness to play for Sierra Leone at all times.
The international squash player, who is currently based in Turkey, has promised to visit Freetown later this year to organize a squash tournament in order to upgrade the standard of the game and young players of the sport in the country.
