Sierra Leone clubs have boycotted their league over the FA elections that are set to take place on Saturday.
The decision was taken by 10 out of 14 clubs that were irked by the removal of three candidates from the running of the presidency.
Hence, leaving only Isha Johansen as the sole candidate who will be elected unopposed as she is set to become the first female Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) head.
This was after FIFA appointed normalization committee ruled out Former Sierra Leone Premier League chairman Rodney Michael, former Leone Star Mohamed Kallon, and Foday Turay from contesting.
Reports indicate that football fans, clubs and other stakeholders have took to the streets over the last few days as they hope that the decision will be overturned.
The world governing body decided to set up the committee after crisis deepened at the organization and at some point saw the FA dissolved and reinstated later.
It remains to be seen how the saga unfolds especially with one fixture already not honoured this week.
