The Minister of Sports, Paul Kamara has reiterated that he'll not support Mohamed Kallon for Presidency of the forth coming SLFA congress because he's a drug addict and corrupt individual that has wrecked the country`s football.

He made this statement in one of Sierra Leoone`s popular sports program, Eagle FM Sports on Wednesday 18th July 2013.

He said:"Mohamed Kallon has once been indicted and banned for eight solid months for taking ban substances. I cannot throw my support to him because he `s corrupt, adding that Isha Johansen is a better candidate than Rodney Michael whom he refers to as (a gambler) and Mohamed Kallon (Drug addict), he told Eagle sports.

He continued:"I'll write to FIFA not to allow any of these candidates to stand because Isha is the best candidate".

When asked if the Normailization Committtee cleared all four candidates to participate in the elections, Paul replied; "I`ll nollify that election with immidiate effects, he stressed. He however cautioned the Normalization Committee members to work directly with the SLFA, FIFA, WAFU and the CAF statute.

According to callers the statement of the Minister was unfortunate and unfounded. Abu Bakarr a regular caller said: “Paul statement on air is disgrace to the president and the nation. Mohamed Kallon has done more than good for this country, adding that “We`ve don`t appreciate his efforts then let stop criticizing him as the Minister has done”.

Reacting to Paul Kamara claims, Kallon said: "I have much respect for Paul as government Minister but it seems he has lost his senses. I`m free to aspire for any position in my country as citizen so i see no need why he keeps on attacking my personality on air. He added: "I have a lot to say but i will rest my case here until Monday when i shall convene a press conference, "he noted.
